New Year's Reso11utions

It's that time again, folks!  A new year is upon us, so here we go with a new list of resolutions:

1.) Write and finish my thesis.
Due date: June 24, 2011.  Post-residency just doesn't have that same ring to it... plus it'd cost me $500/semester.  No, thank you.  This shit is getting done, and it's getting done on time.  Come June, I'll be wearing blue for sure!!

2.) Graduate.
August, 2011.  I am in need of more initials.  MFB, MSW.

3.) Get a SW job or fellowship.
Need to start paying back those student loans! And I'd like to do that while actually using the degree that incurred 'em.  Makes it feel, oh, I dunno, worth it.   And if I'm going to get even more initials in 2 years' time, I need a job in the field.  Resumé and references available on request.

4.) Arms, abs, and ass.
Oh, you know. Get in shape.  I've gotten to points in the past where I actually enjoy running, and I'd love to get that back.  I'll also need more muscles to lug around my second degree.  ;)

5.) Cook for Jess.
You gon' get it, girl.

6.) Consolidate.
I am starting to feel like I have a little too much stuff.  Each year I get to this point, and each year I do a nice little closet-clean-out.  Maybe it's that time again!

7.) Update my movie blog
I have about 10 seen-movies in a queue and it's about time y'all got to hear my thoughts. I'd like to get back into the habit of writing it as soon as I see it.  They're better that way.

8.) Find more reasons to type "queue."

9.) See my besties more often.
I miss my Chosen Chosen people!  I miss my college folk!  Especially with graduating from Smith, I want to be sure to keep my favorite people in my life.

10.) Write more monologues.
This is a project I have created for myself, inspired by this entry.  I think it would be really fun to write monologues.  Having had to perform them myself, I feel like I have somewhat of an eye for what makes an interesting monologue for both the actor and the audience, and I think it could be neat!  I'm giving myself permission here to wait to start this until after 1, 2, and 3 are complete.

11.) Sing more.
It brings me joy.

Wow, 11!  Who knew?  So, what's on your list, people?
