Jess asked me in October if I would be her Valentine. My 2011 planner hadn't even arrived, and I still felt confident that I could accept wholeheartedly, so sure did I feel that it would be so.
This is a girl who, facing some downtime at work, scribbled punny conversation heart questions with a restaurant theme on the back of checks and gave that "valentine" to every coworker. This is a girl who rejoices at finally being recognized as a regular at our favorite neighborhood Café, smiling with unabashed glee. This is a girl who looks up and says "I want to buy plates with you," with the sweetest little smile. This is a girl who proposes pancakes on a snowed-in morning, sees the value of ice cream on a cold afternoon, dance parties at night, comfies on a weekend, and looks bangin in a bowtie. This is a girl who waited for me for months, knowing all the while that we'd be great loves. And this is the girl who has my whole heart.
Jessie, I'm so happy you're mine. I'm the luckiest :)
