Celebrate!

On Friday the 24th of June, I officially handed in my thesis! It was due by noon, at the latest. I had agreed to wait to do it with Megan, and she ran into some printing problems at the library, so we ended up running into Lilly Hall at about 11:55! (I was freaking out a little...) The Dean even came in to see us hand it in and the admin staff said they had been getting nervous... but all was well. We handed it in and received our Blue Slips without a hitch. Phew! In an awesome, supportive turn of events, a whole crowd of my classmates gathered to support all of us still turning our thesis in on the last day! It was a joyous occasion.
Jess was there to celebrate with me and get me through it!
On my way to hand it in! Super excited!
Blue slipped! That's me on the right, PS.
A little in awe, still :)
So happy! So blue!
Mimosas at Sylvester's to celebrate!
Then, on Tuesday the 28th, my class met at 6am outside the Greycourt Gates of Smith and paraded around the campus in celebration. We dressed in blue, and sometimes in blue versions of our thesis if able, and ran through the dorms and quads throwing candy and blowing our noisemakers and having a blast. Then we convened in the dining hall for our school-sponsored Thesis Breakfast and Awards ceremony. Can you say champagne bar?!
5:30 AM, all ready to go!

It has been fun to conclude this process with my peers and such joy :) I'm so proud of the work we have done!
